Modalities and Procedures

Although not exhaustive, NORTH SHORE OSTEOPATHIC has the following list of clinical options available as part of a patient’s plan of care (all of which will require some form of consent process prior to performance):

  • Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) - minimally-interventional and non-interventional physical medicine & rehabilitation options.

  • Osteopathic Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Normalization

  • Osteopathic Cranial treatment

  • Mechanical Oscillation and Desensitization Treatment

  • Ultrasound Cavitation

  • Dry needling

  • Prolotherapy (Hypertonic Dextrose Joint injections): absolute contraindications in acute arthritis, bursitis, tendinitis, gout, complete rupture of a tendon or ligament, or rheumatoid arthritis, patients with active infection, cancer, or any other underlying condition that may prolong the healing process or leave the patient immunocompromised. Relative contraindications to prolotherapy include the regular usage of corticosteroids or NSAIDs or current long-term use of opioids, as they lower the body’s immune response.

  • Fascial Meridian Treatments

Palliative and Supportive Care

If interested in Palliative Care options - or would like more support during the grieving process before, during or after your loss, Dr. Behling will strive to actively anticipate, prevent and relieve suffering for those involved throughout the trajectory of care. We hope to lessen patient, advocate or caregiver grief, fear, burnout or financial distress by offering prolonged sessions dedicated for family or individual support.
